2016 Census job opportunities – apply today!
Do you want to make a difference in your community and help shape its future? The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking for motivated, community-minded project managers to fill up to 608 Area Supervisor positions across the state. Older Australians are encouraged to apply for these casual positions, which offer flexible work hours for up to five months.
Working on the Census is a great way to contribute to your community. The data you help to collect provides an important statistical snapshot that supports planning, policy and funding decisions for a range of local services and infrastructure – from health and education to housing and transport.
Area Supervisors will recruit, train, lead and supervise a small team of temporary field staff to deliver a successful Census result in their area. The roles and responsibilities of field staff will reflect the 2016 Census digital-first approach, so if you are tech-savvy and a great communicator, the ABS wants to hear from you.
