Caulfield – Dandenong Level Crossing Removal Project

Metro Trains information on short-term changes to car parking as part of works to remove nine level crossings between Caulfield and Dandenong.

These investigation works will help further inform the preliminary design that has recently been out for public consultation. This work is designed to collect information about the corridor and confirm the services in the area – these are investigation works only and is not the start of construction on the project.

The following changes will apply at these locations from 5am on Saturday until 5pm Sunday on the 9-10 April 2016:

Carnegie Station

  • Temporary closure of areas and up to 10 car spaces in the Morton Avenue car park. Please note: The Disability Permit car space and bicycle racks in the Morton Avenue car park will be relocated within the car park during this time
  • Temporary closure of footpath from Carnegie Station – Morton Avenue to Hewitts Road.

Murrumbeena Station

  • Temporary closure of areas and up to 10 car spaces in the Neerim Road and Railway Parade car parks (including in the car park on Merric Lane off Murrumbeena Road)

 Hughesdale Station

  • Temporary closure of areas and up to 10 car spaces in car parks on Railway Parade and beside 85 Poath Road
  • Temporary footpath closure on northern side of Willesden Road.

Clayton Station

  • Temporary closure of areas and up to 10 car spaces in the following areas:
  • Haughton Road and Carinish Road car parks
  • Informal car park on Carinish Road
  • Bus zone Carinish Road.

Noble Park Station

  • Temporary closure of  areas and up to 10 car spaces in the following areas:
  • Mons Parade car park
  • Grassed reserve near the corner of Mons Parade and Heatherton Road
  • Temporary closure of stairs to underpass.  Access via ramp.
