Aged Care after July 2014
As you age you may need help for a variety of reasons and are no longer able to stay at home. While it is preferable to stay in your own home on long as is practicable at some stage you may need to look into moving into an aged care home. The federal government’s myagedcare website contains resources to help you navigate the aged care system. The resource “5 steps to entry to an aged care home” can provide some information on the process of accessing aged care. https://www.dss.gov.au/ageing-and-aged-care-tools-and-resources-residential-care/five-steps-to-entry-into-an-aged-care-home
