Road Safety Victoria – Towards Zero Community Consultation
Every two hours, road trauma happens somewhere in Victoria, robbing families and friends of their loved ones and stealing healthy years of living for those who survive with crippling injuries.
In the next decade another 2,500 people will die needlessly and 50,000 people will have to recover from debilitating and life changing injuries if we accept road trauma as it is. This cannot be the price we pay for getting around.
Right here, right now, we have the know how to prevent further trauma on our roads.
That’s why we are taking a bold approach to road safety in Victoria that involves every one of us and we want you to tell us what you think about it.
From 2 June through to 17 June 2015, the Victorian community will have the opportunity to attend one of six consultation sessions on road safety across Victoria, to provide feedback on the next Road Safety Strategy. All sessions will run from 6pm to 8.30pm. Refreshments will be available from 5.30pm.
So please come along and share with us your ideas and what you think and help steer Victoria’s new road safety strategy Towards Zero deaths and serious injuries.
