Get involved and make your voice heard this election!
The federal election is coming soon and COTA is developing its election priorities. Given that your priorities are our priorities, we need to hear from you. We want your voice to reach the candidates and the best way to do this is for us to join together to identify the things that matter most to older Australians.
To do this we are establishing an election panel of COTA members and other interested people to give feedback on policies and issues that matter to you.
By joining the panel you can participate in a national survey and/or a local focus group discussion. You contribute directly to the development of the COTA Australia 2016 Election Platform to set the agenda for our activity in the lead up to the election. We will also alert you to any other opportunities to have your say as they arise.
The more people who join the panel the surer we will be that we will get the messages to politicians, candidates and media right.
We prefer to be in contact with you via email because of the speed of electronic communication and the high cost and slow response time of mail. However, if you know someone who is not able to join in through digital means, please encourage them to contact COTA Australia, Suite 9, 16 National Circuit Barton ACT 2600, or 02 61549740, to request a paper survey be posted to them.
To register for the panel, visit www.olderaustraliansvote.org.au and follow the prompts. You will be asked for some basic information about yourself and your contact details. This information will remain confidential. You can join the panel now.
Thanking you in anticipation of your support.
