Peer Educator Mary turns 70 last May

COTA Victoria was ecstatic to help celebrate Mary’s 70th birthday at our Peer Educators meeting last month. Mary has been a devoted COTA Victoria volunteer for 13 years. During this time she has travelled across metro and regional Victoria delivering talks on medicines, depression, Consumer Directed Care and Palliative Care. Most recently Mary has focused on CALD communities working with Chinese community groups and assisting in the development of Bilingual Chinese materials for COTA Challenging Ageing talks.

Mary often helps out assisting with expos, events, forums, conferences, focus groups, Seniors Festival activities, Senior of the Year Awards and many other events.

She is passionate about raising awareness of issues affecting older people and promoting positive ageing. She is a great networker connecting communities and loves advocating for people to be empowered through information access and participation.
