Improving Residential Aged Care Services

We are inviting older people to have a discussion about what you consider an ‘excellent’ aged care service to be. This discussion will assist in the development of a resource – A Guide to Excellence in Residential Aged Care in Victoria.

The research, funded by the Department of Health and Human Services has ethics approval from La Trobe Human Research Ethics Committee. The research is being conducted by researchers from the Australian Centre for Evidence Based Aged Care (ACEBAC) at La Trobe University.

Group discussions will be held at COTA Victoria on Friday 8th December 10.30 am OR Monday 11th December 10.30 am

You will be reimbursed for your travel costs.

To attend a discussion group please contact one of the researchers directly.

If you would like to have your say but cannot attend, you can contact the researchers to organize a telephone interview.

    Hi there,
Is there an opportunity for relatives and carers to have their say? My mother has advanced dementia so is not able to contribute, but I have had years of dealings with the aged care sector on her behalf,
    Kind regards,
    Liz

  2. Ruth Hosking says:

I am interested in this topic . Have worked in Community Aged Care for over 30 years. The last 22 as. Volunteer Admission Information Officer for Aged Services in Bendigo . I have spoken to a number of Service Clubs, written articles for local Newspapers and keep our Federal Member informed of the complexities of the Aged Care System.

Hence I am interested in attending one of your discussion groups.
