Our new president

We congratulate Mike Lescai on his election as the COTA Victoria President following the 2017 Annual General Meeting. Mike was appointed to the COTA Victoria Board in 2014 and has been an active member of the Executive, Business Development Committee and Audit and Risk Committee. In 2017 he was one of the board representatives on the Seniors Rights Victoria Advisory Committee. Mike runs his own business consultancy practice focusing on business improvement and is a specialist on strategy, particularly in regards to business development and managing risk.

Mike has experience as an executive and board member in a range of companies, including joint ventures and start-up companies. He has completed an MBA (International Management) from RMIT University and now mentors MBA students. Mike is a past Victorian State President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees). He has taken an active interest in the development of affinity within community groups. Mike’s experience and passion for promoting the vision and mission of COTA make him well placed to lead the organisation as President of the board.

We would also like to thank Cathy Mead for her leadership during her time as president and also chair of the Policy Advisory Committee. We welcome new board members: Ian Dunn, Gregg Nicholls and Ron Burke.
