The Families in Later Life Study (FILLS) is a project funded by the Australian Government and led by Deakin University focusing on how family bonds impact on the emotional and physical wellbeing of ageing families over time. FILLS is interested in hearing from ageing families including ageing parents who receive emotional support from their children, to those families where adult children provide full-time care to a parent. The findings from FILLS will provide an important understanding of how to support and strengthen family bonds within ageing families and will assist in the future development of services for retirement villages, assisted living facilities, and family caregivers to support and enhance the wellbeing of ageing families.
FILLS is looking for families (one senior parent and one son or daughter) to participate. To be eligible:
- Both the parent and their son/daughter must participate and be able to speak and read English.
- Parents must be 65+ and have no cognitive impairment
The time required is no more than 8-10 hours To participate, please call (03) 9246 8544 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
