Other Royal Commission news

The Royal Commission has released its first background paper which provides an overview of Australia’s current aged care system. The paper aims to provide a snapshot of issues that will be raised during the Royal Commission. This paper is the first of a number of publications to be released to the general public as the work of the Royal Commission continues. You can access the paper here.

On Tuesday 5 March, the Royal Commission held the first of its Victorian-based community forums in Bendigo. The forum was attended by Commissioner Lynelle Briggs, who heard a number of stories about peoples’ interaction with aged care services. The Royal Commission intends to hold a number of other community forums over the next few months. This page will be updated as new forum dates are announced.
