Can I use my Victorian Seniors Card in Western Australia

  2. Brenda Lacey says:

    Hi Valerie,

All State and Territory governments issue their own Seniors Card and the benefits vary. Generally, businesses (including tours, attractions and accommodation) in one state will usually recognise cards from another. It is best to ask the business if it provides a discount before making a purchase. Here is the link to discounts offered in Western Australia – Information about transport concessions are on the Transperth website –

You’re welcome to contact our information line on 1300 13 50 90 (9:30am to 1:00pm weekdays) if you would like further information.

  4. Nicky Barry says:

    Hi Barbara,

Your Seniors Card will be recognized in NSW for concession travel on public transport. You may be able to use it for some other things but there is no obligation for a NSW business to accept it. It’s always worth asking though!

I have obtained an Opal Seniors Card in NSW but when I try and register it on the Opal site I’m advised that my details are incorrect even though they were entered exactly as on the application and card. Can you advise if there is any reason for this?

  6. Nicky Barry says:

    Hi Trevor,

We have no connection to the administration of the Opal Seniors Card so we cannot provide an answer to that. We suggest you contact their helpline on 137 788 to have this issue rectified.

Does my Seniors Business Discount Card entitle me to be exempt from purchasing a recreational fishing licence in Victoria.

  10. Kasia Tkaczyk says:

    Hi Daryl,
Seniors Business Card does not entitle you to be exempt from purchasing a recreational fishing licence in Victoria. You do not have to buy a recreational fishing licence if you have Victorian Seniors Card. You are also exempt if you are over the age of 70.
