As you probably know Basil is not longer at COTA Victoria so we are looking for a tech savvy person to help seniors to solve the mysteries of their phones and tablets. If you or somebody you know is interested in this exiting volunteer role, please get in contact with us.

Broadband for Seniors helps older people learn skills to use computers, smart tablets and phones, and access the internet; all free of charge.

Broadband for Seniors training courses have been designed with the unique learning needs of seniors in mind and are easy to use, even for those who have never used a computer or the internet before. Training and classes operate at each person’s own pace. Seniors starting their computer training for the first time will be provided with a printed copy of ‘Your Resource Kit’. The kit has been developed for seniors by the Australian Seniors Computer Clubs Association.

    I am interested in knowing if the large hard key mobiles phones are still available?

    Hi Clare,
    COTA Victoria no longer sells mobiles with large buttons. We would suggest you contact the Independent Living Centre on 03 9362 6111 – this service will ask questions about the needs of the person using the phone and then offer suggestions of products available and where you can buy them. You are also welcome to contact our information Officer on 1300 13 50 90 if you would like any further information.
