We are excited to have launched our new website and hope you enjoy exploring its new content as you read through this newsletter. Thanks to our wonderful communications team – Lizbeth and Gemma – for their fabulous work in developing this new website. We welcome your feedback so we can continue to provide information in the most accessible way to our supporters.
As we head into a Federal Election, we have summed up some of the issues facing older voters in our Federal politics: ‘A Fair Go’ Bits and Spin article. We have highlighted the need for urgent action to improve oral and dental health services for older Australians. You can have your say by joining the COTA Election Panel.
We are also actively engaged in the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and the Victorian Commission into Mental Health. We want to ensure that older Victorians have a say in both of these forums, and that their issues are heard and considered.
Coming up to Mother’s Day we have the ideal gift in our Reminiscing Story Cards and Inspiring Life Stories Service. Enjoy reminiscing with your mother and helping to record her story.
We are always seeking people to be involved in consultations and focus groups in order to hear your views on important issues. We are often asked by the media if there are people willing to tell their stories. If you are interested in helping with these requests, please contact us.
