COTA Victoria would like to pay tribute to former Australian Council of Social Services president and advocate, Merle Mitchell AM, who died on the 20 September.

Merle was a long-time collaborator of COTA Victoria and a particularly strong advocate for the rights of older people receiving aged care. She presented her story to The Royal Commission into Aged Care. You can hear some of the issues Merle has raised with aged care providers, training organisations and COTA Victoria in this short video and her agenda for change.
