Report launch: Addressing economic security gaps for older women in Victoria

40 40 people viewed this event.

Older women continue to face some of the most profound and overlooked economic disadvantages in our community. They retire with less superannuation, are more likely to experience housing insecurity, and face a higher risk of financial abuse and housing insecurity in later life. Yet the systemic gaps driving this reality remain under-addressed.

Join us for the launch of Addressing economic security gaps for older women in Victoria, a new report from COTA Victoria that brings together current evidence, lived experience perspectives, and sector insights to identify where the gaps are greatest and where action is most needed.

The event will include:

  • A presentation of the report’s key findings and recommendations
  • A reflection from a lived experience advocate
  • A collaborative workshop exploring shared advocacy opportunities across sectors

This event is designed for sector advocates, financial counsellors, and COTA Victoria members – anyone with a stake in improving the economic lives of older women in Victoria.

Entry to the venue opens at 9.30 am for a 10.00 am start.
