COTA Victoria volunteers know that small acts can have big impact.
Meet Meena Lalwani. A COTA Victoria volunteer since 2015, Meena currently works as our receptionist.
‘I love the people and flexibility. Volunteering provides mental and physical rewards as well as the chance to meet new friends.
‘Volunteering for me is not only taking instructions and executing them but finding better ways of getting things done. I love to learn new skills, and in turn share my experience and knowledge with others.
‘Volunteering is important as we uphold our core values and honour our legacy of love and compassion offering hope to individuals and the community.’
‘I love my little courtyard garden and I also enjoy volunteering at MECWA aged care Malvern. There, I enjoy time with the residents playing games or assisting them with chair exercises and morning tea.”
Become a COTA Victoria volunteer and you will join a like-minded and connected community of people who jump into a range of areas such as administration, events, education, research and policy. Volunteering is an opportunity to fill your cup with generosity and kindness.
