As a part of COTA Victoria’s Information and Lifelong Learning Program, funded through the Victorian Government Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, we are seeking to understand and utilise the lived experience of older Victorians to help us develop our education and engagement program.
Between December 2023 and June 2024, COTA Victoria will be holding a variety of community consultations to inform our work.
We want to hear from Victorian’s over 50 years about what issues are impacting their lives and what services they use to get supports in their community.
Online survey
First, we ask that our members and supporters complete a short survey focussed on the input and experiences of older Victorians.
Taking approximately 5-15 minutes to complete, the survey linked is comprised of three sections:
- Demographic information
- Understanding the experience of older Victorians
- Information provision
The survey is anonymous, however if you wish to be involved with the further development of the program there will be an option to provide your name and email address at the end. If this information is provided, or you provide any other identifying information in your responses, this will be de-identified prior to any use or publication of results.
Further consultations
For those not wanting to complete the survey but wanting to be involved with further consultation, we will be holding a series of online and in-person forms.
The first is an online community forum on Friday, 15 December 2023.
We will also run three, in-person consultation sessions between now and 30 June 2024. More information on those sessions will be added to this page as they’re announced.
