Thank you so very much to the close to 100 members, supporters, and friends of COTA Victoria (COTA Vic) and Seniors Rights Victoria (SRV) who took part in a recent survey about our organisation and membership scheme.
Now that the deadline for responses has ticked over, we’re pleased to present you with some initial findings and insights from those who’ve taken part.
COTA Victoria and Seniors Rights Victoria
- A whopping 93% of those surveyed currently subscribe to our COTA Connects and SRV eNews monthly mailout. Thank you!
- 41% of you said you connected with COTA Vic and SRV to keep up to date with information on our services and programs.
- 34% of those surveyed first heard about COTA Vic and SRV because of our programs and services.
- The traits you associate with COTA Vic and SRV include “Helpful” (23%), “Positive” (20%), and “Compassionate” (18%).
Membership
- Our membership program received a 3.8 out of 5-star rating from those surveyed.
- The biggest benefits current members find useful are the COTA Connects and SRV eNews email newsletter (20%), free membership for individuals (18%), and the ability to help inform, influence, and shape the lives of older Victorians (18%).
- Current members said that additional discounts are the number one benefit they’d like to receive from their membership.
- 47% of those surveyed would like to see more educational events offered to members, while 22% of those surveyed would also like more networking and flagship events on the membership calendar.
- Educational topics that you’re most interested in include physical health (17%), ageing (15%), social supports/mental health (12%), aged care (10%), and elder abuse (10%).
- 53% of those surveyed would prefer membership events to take place on weekdays, during the afternoon.
We’re so appreciative to those who took time out of their day to respond to our survey. The information above, along with much more data, will be used to improve and better inform the programs and services of COTA Victoria and Seniors Rights Victoria.
