Transport matters

Melbourne is Australia’s most congested city and we are growing fast. Accessible public transport is the best way to encourage people to get out of their cars and onto our public transport network.

Are you interested in extending Melbourne’s free tram zone?

This could include free travel to key spots just outside the CBD, such as:

  • The University of Melbourne
  • Royal Children’s Hospital
  • The Alfred Hospital
  • Melbourne Cricket Ground and the Olympic Park sporting precinct
  • The National Gallery of Victoria.

You may wish to sign an e-petition to the Victorian Legislative Council.

What about removing fares for all Seniors Card holders?

The Legislative Council Economy and Infrastructure Committee is inviting written submissions from individuals and organisations on this and other transport issues. If you would like to contribute, read more.

Submissions close on 31 January 2020.
